The food producer Serum Italian is based in Cazzago San Martino (IT). The company produces whey protein concentrates (WPC) and other whey derivatives for sports foods and ingredients for dairy products and food manufacturers. Serum Italia uses liquid whey as its basis, a residual product from Italian cheese manufacturers. In order to manufacture products for human consumption, stricter requirements apply, in fields such as hygiene, safety and quality. Serum Italia has proven that it takes all these requirements seriously. Serum Italia continuously invests in the processing of liquid whey into powdered products with a broad application in the food industry. In the Italian town of Casalbuttano, Zoogamma concentrates and dries milk whey originating from dairy and cheese producers in the area such as Granarolo and Parmalat. Milk whey is a residual waste flow from the production of cheese and also forms the basis for the raw dairy materials produced for human consumption by the company. Zoogamma works intensively with its sister-company Melkweg, the international trading house of the VanDrie Group. Eurolat is located in the German Lindlar (Nordrhein-Westfalen), in the centre of the‘Bergisches Land’ National Park. Eurolat is a spray-drying plant which manufactures powdered products from raw dairy materials and vegetable oils. Dairy products and oils are processed, homogenised, evaporated and then turned into long-life powdered products using four spray towers. Eurolat mainly produces for Schils Food BV and Schils BV, as part of the VanDrie Group.

Schils Food from Sittard (NL) is a multi-faceted player in the international dairy market. The company is a major producer and supplier of powdered dairy blends, primarily destined for human consumption.
