As a food producer, we have a growing number of mouths to feed but, at the same time, we want to contribute to climate objectives. That is a great challenge. Investing in research and development is logically an important part of the way we work.

Our Research & Development (R&D) department conducts research in the areas of smart farming, reducing emissions, feeds, animal health and animal welfare. This is how we make our contribution to broad-based, sustainable livestock farming. We have three research centres of our own: Drieveld, De Haar and De Tweeling. In many cases, we also collaborate with external research and educational institutions.
