We work with approximately 1,100 professional veal farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy. The relationship with these farmers is rooted in long term associations. We have worked with many families for several generations.
The veal farmers we work with ensure the proper care, feeding and group housing of the calves. The calves come from dairy farms and stay with the farmer for an average of 28 weeks. Specialised supervisors from the VanDrie Group visit the facilities very regularly. They are on hand to advise and assist the veal farmers wherever possible. The veal farmers also provide direct feedback on the health and welfare of their animals. Due to the high level of traceability of the animals and their health status, as well as each ingredient in the feed, we are able to work together to achieve optimum results.
