Kalver Slachterij Aalten is specialised in the slaughtering of rosé (Friander) calves.
Friander is a characteristic meat, beyond comparison with any other meat because of its natural flavour. Friander calves are mainly fed roughage, in addition to milk. The meat, which is from selected calves, is known for its fine structure, special flavour and fresh pale red colour. This is a purely natural product that meets the very highest standards. The VanDrie Group guarantees this by applying strict selection criteria. The carcasses or primal cuts are delivered by KSA to its affiliates for further processing.
KSA is certified under HACCP and BRC and SKV-accredited, among other distinctions. The entire veal processing operation is covered by the VanDrie Group’s food safety programme, Safety Guard.
