Mijdrecht - VanDrie Group, the world market leader in veal, has scored high again in the Transparency benchmark of the Ministry of Economics, Agriculture and Innovation with her fourth Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

Henny Swinkels, Director Corporate Affairs of VanDrie Group: “As biggest Dutch family company in the agribusiness we take our responsibility when it comes to sustainable development. Transparent communication about the initiatives and dilemmas is herewith essential. Therefore we are very happy with the appreciation of the Ministry of Economics, Agriculture and Innovation Transparency benchmark for our  social annual report.

Also in 2012 we will continue further developments of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy to look for sustainable solutions of the challenges in the sector. We continue our chain sustainability through all steps in every link in the chain. Spearheads in this are healthy animals in an economical profitable sector.

Being the highest noted family company in the agribusiness, it is the second year in a row that VanDrie Group has been listed in the transparency benchmark. For a family company as VanDrie Group concepts as cooperation, quality, sustainability and transparency are not just words but the foundation of the business philosophy. Clear and transparent communication are the complete part of this. The five spearheads of  VanDrie Group Corporate Social Responsibility are food safety, animal welfare, concern for employees, chain partners and environment and aiming for the use of all rest products (cradle to cradle-principle).
Therefore the title of our annual Corporate Social Responsibility report is “Veal with Vision”.
