Various festive activities are planned for the last week of June to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of Agriterra. On Thursday 26 June, the eve of the All Holland Dairy Show NRM, Veepro, the organisation for the international promotion of Dutch Beef Cattle, and Agriterra are organising the Cattle Breeding Worldwide seminar together. It is to be an international seminar on livestock farming in search of the boundaries of sustainability. The Agriterra/Veepro seminar offers a unique mix of international speakers and current news topics. What will new insights concerning these topics mean to Dutch livestock farmers and their counterparts across the globe? What are the shared opportunities and what are the shared challenges? The speakers at this seminar will include Lars Nielsen from Sweden, Holstein Manager for Viking Genetics, and Henk van der Zwaag, Head of Ruminants division and Director of GD in Deventer. The day will be presided over by Elisabeth Gauffin, Chair of IFAP-DCC (the Development Cooperation Committee for world farmers’ organisation IFAP). The speakers, international participants and the structure of this event offer plenty of space for an exchange of knowledge and experience between all parties attending. Moreover, the location, practical training institute PTC+ in Oenskerk, provides the opportunity to visit practical stables. You can attend the seminar for the price of €60. Included are coffee/tea with cake, lunch, a social drinks event to close, and a tour of PTC+. Forty registrations have already been received from the Netherlands and abroad. The maximum number of participants is 100, so don’t wait too long. To register, go to www.agriterra.org, and click on ‘party’. You will also find more information on the seminar and our other jubilee activities at the All Holland Dairy Show NRM. This seminar, like the other festivities, is in part made possible by sponsors such as Rabobank Foundation, Alfa Accountants en Adviseurs, Stichting NRM, VION, VanDrie Group, Storm Creative Agency and Parantion. « <- Back to news overview |
